Cable industry gears up for World IPv6 Day on June 8

LOUISVILLE, CO - The Internet Society has designated June 8, 2011 as World IPv6 Day and will coordinate a 24-hour test of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), the next-generation Internet protocol.With the remaining supply of available IPv4 network addresses rapidly dwindling, IPv6 will be required to support the ever increasing number of subscribers, devices, and services that need to connect to the Internet.
