Cable customer satisfaction tops menu at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo breakfast

EXTON, PA – Techniques for increased customer satisfaction will be served up when the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) hosts its annual International Attendee Breakfast on October 24 at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013.

Operator, vendor and association executives from four continents will discuss how cable networks can be prepared to offer the 360-degree view of the customer that is essential to achieving customer satisfaction.  Other topics that the panel will address include:

– How cable operators worldwide vary in capabilities, technologies, and approaches for maximizing customer satisfaction, network capabilities and revenue opportunities;

– How UHDTV is being deployed in Japan while ensuring customer satisfaction and managing anticipated issues;

– How Cablevision Argentina is improving customer service and quality of experience for video on demand via mathematical modeling; and

– How European regulators’ demands for measurement of customer bandwidth may not produce the most accurate view of customer satisfaction, and thus the real challenge is helping customers optimize their home networks.

SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2013 is set for October 21 – 24 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.  Two pre-conference symposia, one called ‘DOCSIS 3.1 Engineering’ and another entitled ‘Creating the Cable Generalist’, will be held on Monday, October 21.
