HAMILTON – Cable 14 is gearing up to launch an online service that will allow viewers in the Hamilton area to watch live and on demand video from any web-connected device.

Dubbed Cable 14 Now, the service will debut September 22 to Rogers and Cogeco subscribers in the region at no charge. With programming ranging from election coverage to OHL hockey, in addition to Cable 14’s live web streaming capabilities, regular programming content will also be available on an on demand basis within 48 hours of its linear broadcast.

"Research shows that today's consumers are viewing content and programming in a myriad of ways, places and times,” said Cable 14 GM Brent Rickert, in the news release.  “With the launch of Cable 14 NOW, we are proudly entering into this modern age with an approach and product that gives viewers and customers an extension of our existing TV service. We are very pleased with what we have come up with and are convinced that our Rogers and Cogeco subscribers will agree."

The Hamilton-based community channel, co-owned by shareholders Cogeco, Rogers, and Source Cable, has been serving Hamilton, Ancaster, Dundas, Stoney Creek, Binbrook and parts of Flamborough, as well as the surrounding communities of Haldimand, Cayuga, Dunnville, Caledonia, and Hagersville, for more than 40 years.
