CAB announces Gold Ribbon news winners

OTTAWA - The Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB) recognized some of its members Monday for their outstanding news, information, documentary, and diversity programming. The Gold Ribbon Awards, selected from 544 submissions, were presented at the CAB’s 81st Annual Convention. In radio, the award winners were: Aboriginal Programming: CJNB, North Battleford (Cree Ways) Northwestern Radio Partnership Information Program: CHED, Edmonton (Remembering the Fallen Four) CORUS Entertainment Inc. Breaking News: CJAD, Montreal (Dawson College Shooting) Astral Media Inc. Diversity in News and Information Programming: CKOM, Saskatoon (Seeds of Success) Rawlco Radio Ltd.
