TIVERTON, Ont. — Municipally owned Bruce Telecom announced this week it has appointed telecom industry veteran Ray Lahoud (above) as its new president and CEO.
Over more than two decades, Lahoud has held many senior executive roles in operations, network management and IT services. His previous positions have included being Allstream’s chief operating officer from 2016 to 2018 and vice-president of network and IT services from 2014-2016, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to that, Lahoud was vice-president of IT services and later vice-president of network and access management at MTS Allstream (before Allstream was split off from the company).
Prior to joining Bruce Telecom, Lahoud was a managing director at FTI Consulting in Toronto, where he managed the organization’s telecom, media and technology industry practice.
“With more than 20+ years of industry experience, he has had direct involvement with operational improvement, strategy development, technology evaluation, and M&A integration/carve outs within telecom,” reads a LinkedIn post by Bruce Telecom, announcing Lahoud’s appointment.
“As Bruce Telecom continues to deliver high-quality, secure, reliable and innovative technologies, we look forward to Ray’s visionary leadership, technical expertise and distinguished accomplishments towards growth and success,” adds the post.
