Britt, Chambers, Stanzione headline Cable-Tec Expo opener


EXTON, Pa. – CEOs and CTOs will discuss technology choices shaping the industry’s landscape to open the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, being held from June 14 to 17 in San Antonio, Texas.

The opening general session, set for Wednesday, June 15 from 9 to 10:15 a.m., will be moderated by industry author/columnist Paul S. Maxwell, and include Glenn A. Britt, chairman and CEO, Time Warner Cable; John T. Chambers (via satellite), president and CEO, Cisco Systems, Inc.; and Robert J. Stanzione, chairman and CEO, ARRIS.

The CTO panel from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m., will be moderated by independent technology analyst and author Leslie Ellis, and include Mike Hayashi, senior vice-president advanced engineering and subscriber technology, Time Warner Cable; Dr. Richard Prodan, vice-president and CTO, Broadband Communications, Broadcom Corporation; Tony G. Werner, senior vice-president and CTO, Liberty Media; and Paul D. Woidke, vice-president, technology, Comcast Spotlight.

In addition to the opening general session, SCTE’s Cable-Tec Expo includes more than 20 technology-focused educational workshops on today’s critical cable engineering and technology issues, such as Commercial Services, VoIP and PacketCable; three days to explore the sold-out exhibit hall; and networking opportunities including Expo Evening, National Cable-Tec Games and the annual awards luncheon.
