Also greenlights two new original series
TORONTO – Blue Ant Media’s wildlife and nature brand Love Nature announced today a new social responsibility initiative, Love Nature Gives Back, as well as two new greenlights – Wild Dogs: Running with the Pack (above) and Becoming Orangutan.
Love Nature Gives Back “supports the conservation of wild animal species and habitats, as well as people working in conservation organizations, featured in Love Nature programming,” a press release explains.
Through the initiative, Love Nature is supporting several organizations listed on the Love Nature Gives Back website by, for example, providing monetary donations, creating supporting media and participating in joint social media campaigns.
“A key part of the initiative includes engaging with audiences and rewarding Love Nature fans with branded contest giveaways and unique opportunities for viewers to support the conservation organizations directly,” the release says.
Two of the organizations included on the initiative’s website – the Zambian Carnivore Program and the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation – are featured in the new series Love Nature announced today.
Wild Dogs: Running with the Pack (6 x 30; 4K, HDR), which is produced by Icon Films, “features the journey of wildlife filmmaker Julz Braatvedt on his mission to film and protect African wild dogs with the Zambian Carnivore Program,” the press release says.
Becoming Orangutan (3 x 30; 4K, HDR) is produced by NHNZ Worldwide and features “the irresistible primates at the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation as they learn how to survive in the wild,” says the release.
“Both titles will premiere on Love Nature’s platforms around the world this summer and on Sky Nature later this year. Both new series are distributed internationally by Blue Ant International and are part of the distributor’s new slate of offerings at MIPTV.”
“Wild Dogs: Running with the Pack and Becoming Orangutan are prime examples of Love Nature’s mission to create captivating new series for our audiences, and they are a perfect fit for our Love Nature Gives Back initiative,” says Alison Barrat, senior vice-president, production and development at Love Nature, in the press release.
“Love Nature Gives Back was born out of the need to connect more meaningfully with our content and to give back to organizations who are dedicated to conserving wildlife. We’re grateful to Icon Films and NHNZ Worldwide for bringing these stories to life and enabling us to use the power of our programming to create a lasting conservation impact.”
