London, UK – CBC is among a number of broadcasters that have picked up adult animation series Gary and His Demons from Blue Ant International.
The series is created by Blue Ant Media’s animation studio Look Mom! Productions. Other licences include ABC Comedy (ABC) for Australia and Comedy Central in the UK and Republic of Ireland for their prime time slot. The show premiered in the U.S. on the Mondo Channel on VRV earlier this year.
Gary and His Demons is an animated comedy about a cantankerous, aging demon slayer who has nothing left to lose. Burdened by his “chosen one” status and backed by a team of specialists he can’t relate to, Gary struggles to keep interest in the Earth-saving duty he never asked for and doesn’t want.
“Gary and His Demons’ irreverent, animated comedy has struck a chord with our international clients and the series’ recent crop of sales showcase the first of our original scripted series”, said Blue Ant International EVP Solange Attwood, in the news release. “The writing talent and distinct point of view make it a must-see for buyers across all platforms.”
