
TORONTO — Global distributor Blue Ant International has licensed the factual series A Wild Year on Earth (above) to BBC America, the company announced today.
Originally commissioned by Blue Ant’s wildlife and nature channel Love Nature, A Wild Year on Earth (6 episodes x 60 minutes) is produced by Northern Pictures and narrated by actress Laura Carmichael (Downton Abbey). Karina Holden is executive producer and Daniella Ortega serves as series producer. Blue Ant International handles international licensing for the docuseries.
BBC America will premiere the series in early 2021 as part of Wonderstruck, its 24-hour micro-network dedicated to wildlife and natural history programming. A trailer for the series is available here.
