LOS ANGELES – Blue Ant Media has rebranded subsidiary Omnia Media’s production arm as Blue Ant Digital Studios just as three of its new digital series debut on Facebook’s streaming video service Facebook Watch.
The Los Angeles-based production house and studio creates original short form and long form content with Omnia Media’s roster of talent and Blue Ant Media’s global reach in production, creative development and distribution. Blue Ant Media acquired 100% of Omnia Media in 2016 after first taking a minority stake two years prior.
Dan Lubetkin will continue to oversee production and development as chief content officer at Blue Ant Digital Studios, reporting to Blue Ant Media production EVP Sam Sniderman.
Tuesday’s announcement added that Blue Ant Digital Studios’ short form series Grade A Kitchen (pictured), Family of Champions and Pixville Nightly are now on Facebook Watch, available on mobile, desktop and Facebook's TV apps.
“Blue Ant Digital Studios combines the originality and innovation of Omnia Media’s digital roots with the proven production, distribution and broadcasting expertise of Blue Ant Media”, said Lubetkin, in the announcement. “With this rebrand, we are expanding our genres and interests beyond our original hyperfocus on gaming to millennial-driven, compelling content that spans unscripted to scripted, live action to animation, comedy to drama.”
A division of Blue Ant Media, content distributor Blue Ant International oversees the licensing and sales for Blue Ant Digital Studios. Grade A Kitchen, Family of Champions and Pixville Nightly will be added to its digital studios library at MIPTV 2018.
