TORONTO – Blue Ant Media said today it has signed a multi-year partnership agreement with the annual Polaris Music Prize.
The newly formed relationship “ensures the Polaris Music Prize retains artistic control over the organization and gala while Blue Ant Media will provide operational support, including marketing, production and exclusive sales representation for all sponsorship and integration opportunities,” says the Blue Ant release.
Blue Ant Media’s music and culture brand, AUX, will develop enhanced content leading up to and during the Polaris Music Prize with custom editorial, digital video and live streaming of the event in September. New content includes the Polaris Cover Video Series, where previously selected artists cover a song from a previously short listed album. A collaborative series with the Banff Centre where two former recognized artists’ work on a new recording will be released as a 7-inch vinyl with an accompanying AUX documentary.
“AUX has always been committed to supporting Canadian musical talent and being the voice of music culture and this is a perfect partnership with one of Canada’s most respected awards,” said Raja Khanna, CEO television and digital, Blue Ant Media. “Our combined resources will allow us to grow the visibility of the prize and offer expanded opportunities to brands that want to connect with Canadian music.”
