Blue Ant launches new lifestyle FAST channel on Xumo in U.S.

TORONTO — Blue Ant Media announced today the launch of its fourth free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channel, Homeful, which is available now on Comcast-owned streaming service Xumo in the United States.

This new specialty lifestyle FAST channel “features some of the most well-decorated faces in home design TV, giving audiences a programming lineup stacked with real estate, renovations and transformations that they love to binge, much of it exclusive in the free streaming ecosystem,” reads a Blue Ant Media press release.

Programming available on Homeful includes Sarah 101 (27 episodes x 30 minutes), “a back-to-basics crash course in design” featuring TV design celebrity Sarah Richardson (above, left) and her design sidekick Tommy Smythe (right).

Other programming highlights include: Candice Tells All (78 x 30’), starring design expert Candice Olson “who takes on signature makeovers that showcase new mediums and art forms, giving viewers an up-close look into her busy and often-hilarious world”; What’s For Sale (13 x 30’), which follows families looking to purchase their ultimate vacation home with the help of “rock star realtor” Rob Serediuk; and Lakes, Docks and Decks (8 x 30’), “which follows two expert dock builders who elevate dilapidated waterfronts to the next level with their beautiful and clever designs.”

“Homeful, which is packed with fan favourite, exclusive home-themed series, is a great addition to our growing portfolio of free streaming channels that super-serve niche audiences with compelling content they love to lean back and enjoy,” said Jamie Schouela, president of global channels and media at Blue Ant Media, in the press release.

“This channel will fill a gap in the FAST landscape for home-themed content and provide inspiration at a time when renovations and redecorating are a hot topic as we all spend more time at home,” he said.

Homeful is an extension of Blue Ant Media’s existing partnership with Xumo, which includes the Love Nature FAST channel launched on the streamer in May 2020.

Blue Ant Media FAST channels are also available on platforms like The Roku Channel, Samsung TV Plus, Vizio WatchFree+ and PrendeTV, offering “audiences curated programming that is easy and free to access,” the press release says.

Earlier this month, Blue Ant Media launched TotalCrime on The Roku Channel in the United States. TotalCrime is a sister channel to CrimeTime, which launched on the Roku platform in Canada in March 2021.

Blue Ant Media’s roster of FAST channels also includes HauntTV, which launched in December 2020 on The Roku Channel.
