Blue Ant buys global rights to Search and Rescue: North Shore


TORONTO – Blue Ant International, announced today it acquired the international rights to Search and Rescue: North Shore a new five-part series that will show audiences the daring rescue missions of an elite volunteer rescue squad as they find and save people in distress along the Northwest Coast of North America.

Produced by Peg Leg Films, in association with British Columbia’s Knowledge Network, the series is available for international licensing via Blue Ant International. A trailer for can be viewed here.

Shot over a full year by a camera crew embedded with the team, the episodes feature breathtaking cinematography and immerse audiences in the high stakes involved in rescuing stranded hikers, locating children lost in the dark, bringing injured mountain bikers to safety and searching for snowshoers dragged down a mountain by an avalanche. Along the way, viewers get to know members of the team including Peter, who has been on the team for 25 years, Barry, a university professor who coordinates helicopter rescues, and Maria, a new recruit with a young family at home.
