TORONTO — Blue Ant Media is growing the digital platforms for its Love Nature and ZooMoo channels with the appointment of Stephanie Atlas to the newly created role of vice-president of digital content and programming for nature and kids.
Effective immediately, Atlas (pictured) will direct the creative vision for Love Nature and ZooMoo’s social media presence, ensuring that users have a unified and comprehensive brand experience online, Blue Ant Media said in a news release Wednesday.
Atlas is working out of Blue Ant’s Washington, DC office, and she reports to Los Angeles-based Greg Kampanis, senior vice-president and general manager, digital, for Blue Ant Media Global Networks, which includes Love Nature, ZooMoo and Omnia Media.
“Growing our social media presence is a priority and Stephanie’s extensive experience in leading digital campaigns is invaluable in creating seamless online strategies,” Kampanis said in the news release. “Her new dedicated role allows us to optimize our programming across multiple platforms, further reinforcing Love Nature and ZooMoo as truly platform-agnostic brands.”
Atlas will work cross-functionally with Washington, DC-based Carlyn Staudt, executive vice-president of programming and development for Love Nature, and she will oversee programming and launch strategies for Love Nature and ZooMoo’s SVOD and AVOD products, while leading digital strategies across YouTube, Facebook and Instagram to maximize engagement and drive subscriber growth, Blue Ant said.
With more than 14 years of experience in creating and executing integrated digital and social media campaigns, Atlas most recently operated her own firm, Atlas & Co., where she designed campaigns that included PassBlue, a Facebook Live campaign covering women in peacekeeping in Afghanistan, and the Biden Cancer Summit, a social media campaign around developing cancer solutions.
Previously, Atlas worked at National Geographic as senior director, culture and exploration, in which she launched a digital brand featuring stories about the natural world, cultures and social change. Prior to that role, Atlas held other positions at National Geographic that included creating the editorial vision and branding for the National Geographic’s interactive daily magazine, published on Snapchat Discover, and launching Nat Geo Wild’s first digital nature series, Wild_life.
