Blue Ant Media on Monday announced four new appointments to strengthen its marketing organization, supporting performance marketing, audience development and global brand building across Blue Ant’s businesses.
The new appointments include Allison Carr as senior vice president of marketing for consumer brands, Jeff Cooke as marketing manager for studios and rights, Lindsay King as marketing manager for consumer shows, and Alan Sencich as marketing manager for Canadian media.
Blue Ant also announced Anna Molloy is taking on an expanded role as senior manager of marketing for rights and streaming in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
As part of its new marketing model, Blue Ant has selected Blue Noise Studios as its new media agency partner, which will work alongside Blue Ant’s team “to support a performance-focused media approach grounded in audience insight, ongoing measurement and campaign optimization,” according to a Blue Ant Media press release.
“These appointments build on the considerable talent already within our marketing organization and, alongside our partnership with Blue Noise Studios, position us well to deliver on our growth ambitions,” Dervla Kelly, Blue Ant’s chief marketing and communications officer, said in the press release.
Carr is joining Blue Ant with more than 20 years of experience in brand strategy, performance marketing, customer acquisition and retention, content, media and audience engagement. She most recently led brand strategy, customer experience, content and broadcast operations at Woodbine Entertainment. Previously, she spent more than 10 years at Corus Entertainment, where she oversaw marketing and publicity for over 30 entertainment brands and helped build the performance marketing capabilities supporting Corus’s streaming business.
In her new role, Carr will lead marketing strategy for Blue Ant’s international pay-TV and FAST/AVOD channels and the subscription streaming service MagellanTV, as well as Blue Ant’s connected TV advertising business Media Pulse and the company’s portfolio of 11 consumer shows. Her mandate includes strengthening the use of audience insights and performance data, accelerating customer acquisition and retention, and supporting the growth of Blue Ant’s channel, streaming and live-event brands.
Cooke joins Blue Ant with more than a decade of experience in entertainment and content marketing across television, live events and global media. Most recently, he led consumer marketing at New Metric Media for titles including Letterkenny, Shoresy and Hate the Player: The Ben Johnson Story, developing campaigns, brand extensions and live experiences. Prior to that, Cooke spent a decade at WildBrain, where he led global business-to-business marketing initiatives supporting a library of more than 500 kids and family brands.
Reporting to Kelsey Aikman, vice president of marketing for Blue Ant rights, studios and corporate, Cooke will be responsible for developing marketing strategies that build the global profile of the company’s studios, productions and rights portfolio, supporting engagement with buyers, commissioners, platforms, partners and audiences worldwide.
King joins Blue Ant with more than 15 years of experience across digital marketing, ecommerce, brand strategy and live events. As founder of Toronto-based brand strategy and digital creative studio Add to Cart Commerce, she has advised brands on integrated campaigns designed to drive audience engagement and conversion.
In her new role, King will lead campaign strategy, positioning, messaging and audience development for Blue Ant’s portfolio of consumer shows, focusing on using audience insights and digital marketing to support attendance, engagement and long-term brand growth.
Sencich brings more than a decade of experience across entertainment, gaming and digital marketing. He most recently served as senior marketing manager for Canada at Kinetic Digital. Previously, he worked at East Side Games, where he developed audience campaigns and digital communities around entertainment properties in partnership with brands including NBC, BBC and Funko.
Sencich will lead marketing for Blue Ant’s Canadian television brands, including T+E, Cottage Life, BBC Earth and Makeful. His mandate will focus on driving tune-in, strengthening brand affinity and using audience insights and digital platforms to build deeper connections with viewers.
In her expanded mandate, Molloy will lead regional marketing strategies that strengthen engagement with buyers and platforms, support partner relationships and extend the reach of Blue Ant’s content and brands across EMEA. During her time at Blue Ant, she has supported the company’s channel and streaming brands across the region, developing a strong understanding of its content portfolio, partners and audiences, Blue Ant said.
“Together, the team will support Blue Ant’s businesses through an integrated marketing model that combines brand strategy and creative development with audience intelligence, performance marketing, digital growth and business-to-business marketing,” Blue Ant said in its press release.
