TORONTO – Nominations are now open, and the judges have been named for the 2009 Bessie Awards.
Deborah Prenger from Dentsu Canada; Dean Lee from DDB Vancouver; Karen Silver from The Garden Production Company; Henry Lu from Soft Citizen; Gary Thomas from Crush; Daniel Vendramin from Cossette; Heather Vincent from Ogilvy & Mather; and Nellie Kim from john st. will all serve on the jury to choose Canada’s best English-language television advertising.
The awards have added two new categories this year – one for online broadcast advertising, and another for integrated television and online campaigns.
Organized by the Television Bureau of Canada in conjunction with the Broadcast Executives Society, the 2009 Bessies Awards Show and Gala will be held at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York Hotel on May 21.
