Bell Video gets Frank

TORONTO – Chris Frank has been promoted to vice-president, programming for Bell Canada’s Video Group.

He had been senior director of regulatory and governmental affairs and took over the programming job on September 19th, he told www.cartt.ca. Based in Ottawa for the regulatory role, Frank will soon be moving to Toronto.

He replaces Alison Green, who was let go in August, as reported by www.cartt.ca.

The programming role is one Frank knows well as he held both the regulatory and programming titles for Bell ExpressVu until about three years ago, when he made regulation his full time gig. As VP programming for Bell Video, Frank will oversee programming on ExpressVu and the company’s wireline video services.

He’s happy to be back on the programming side. “The work is very interesting and there’s lots going on in the industry,” he said. “I’m very excited.”

“We have an excellent team here and I’m glad to be a part of it.”

Bell Video Group also added Lori Rosenberg (formerly of Alliance Atlantis and the Canadian Television Fund) this summer as programming director, replacing Cary Rubin, who departed for CanWest Global.
