Bell, Vector Institute announces strategic partnership to advance AI


MONTREAL – Bell announced today a new five-year strategic engagement with Vector Institute, a not-for-profit specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) research.

The collaboration is part of Bell’s “objective to remain at the forefront of technology and innovation in telecommunications services, and encourage the development of, and expertise in, new, emerging technologies right here in Canada,” a press release explains.

“Bell has invested over the past decades in developing extensive data, analytics capabilities, and AI applications in multiple areas of its operations. The collaboration will help to continue accelerating the development and adoption of AI applications across Bell.”

As part of the strategic engagement, Bell will be able to tap into Vector’s talent community as well as its AI engineering capabilities.
