MONTREAL – With the London 2012 Olympic Games set to open in just over a week, Bell has revealed its plans to deliver a multitude of live and on-demand content to its customer’s smart phones, tablets, TVs and computer screens.
Bell Mobility customers will be able to watch Bell Mobile TV for live, high definition access to Canada's Olympic broadcast media consortium channels, an enhanced Games-specific viewers guide, and an array of daily, on-demand highlights.
Bell Fibe TV customers can catch more than 1,100 hours of London 2012 on-demand content including coverage of competitions, Canadian athletes, primetime shows, and the opening and closing ceremonies. In addition, they may also access the CTV Olympics London 2012 app which offers the ability to sort and watch video highlights related to top stories and specific sports categories.
To help navigate the wide range of simultaneously occurring Olympic events, Bell Fibe TV and Bell Satellite TV customers may also tune to its London 2012 Mosaic Channel to watch up to five of the consortium feeds on one screen, and then select the broadcast of their choice.
Lastly, social media offerings include the original Facebook utility called the Bell 2012 Games Scheduler that allows users to navigate London 2012 content as well as share personal viewing schedules with friends, and the ‘Make it Epic’ mobile app where users can create a mash-up of their favourite Olympic moments and set it to the ‘Chariots of Fire’ theme song. The app will be available soon for free download at the App Store and Google Play.
