Bell TV customers can have a blast


TORONTO – Approximately 10 years ago this month, satellite competition came to Canada so Bell Canada is celebrating its decade in digital television by offering Bell Digital TV subscribers a chance to witness the launch of its newest digital TV satellite, Nimiq 4, in the spring of 2008.

Liftoff will take place at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

"The Nimiq 4 satellite will further enhance our digital TV services by offering even more high definition and interactive channels,` said Kevin Crull, president, Bell Residential Services, in the company`s press release.

The new TV satellite is being built and launched by Telesat and Bell`s 1.8 million digital TV customers can enter to win a once-in-a -lifetime trip for two to witness the launch, as well as thousands of other prizes. The winners will be flown to St. Petersburg, Russia where they’ll enjoy local tours and sightseeing before heading to the Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to witness lift-off. No word on whether or not the winners get to drop in on Borat’s family.
