Bell Sympatico launches subscription fraud protection service

TORONTO – Bell Canada has launched a subscription fraud protection service for its Sympatico ISP—the first of its kind in the country, the company says. The Fraud Protection service can be bought as part of Sympatico’s Anti-Spyware service for $5.95 a month, or as part of a $10 a month bundle of Anti-Spyware, Anti-Virus, Firewall, and Parental Controls features. It’s available for high-speed and dial-up customers, and can be installed on up to three computers on one account. According to the National Cyber Security Alliance, 81% of home computers still lack core protection such as updated anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewalls....
