MONTREAL and RESTON, VA – Bell is partnering with U.S. cleantech firm GridPoint to help Canadian businesses transform the way they manage their energy usage.
Bell said Tuesday that the IoT solution will broaden its energy management solutions (EMS) portfolio by offering energy management “as a service” to simplify the process of managing complex systems. It promised end-to-end support, including the management of devices, applications and connectivity for customers.
GridPoint’s smart building technology provides critical insights into equipment health and performance so that customers can automate the control of HVAC and lighting schedules, and troubleshoot equipment issues remotely, reads the news release. The solution collects and displays data in real-time through a software platform and mobile application, enabling customers to learn more about their energy patterns and adapt operations to maximize savings.
“Energy costs and environmental management are significant expenses for businesses of all kinds, and Bell is pleased to partner with GridPoint to offer flexible EMS IoT solutions that can be simply integrated into existing building management systems,” said Bell Mobility products and services VP, Nauby Jacob, in the release. “Bell’s EMS portfolio offers a range of turnkey and customizable solutions across all sectors that will help customers achieve their energy management goals.”
“Energy management is a core pillar within IoT, and enabling GridPoint’s technology through Bell’s network to its customer base delivers Canada’s best end-to-end service,” added GridPoint’s director of strategic partnerships Evan Conley. “We are excited to welcome Bell to our growing Partner Program.”
