Bell networks to simulcast One World: Together At Home global TV special


TORONTO — Bell Media announced Monday it will be the primary Canadian broadcaster for the international television event One World: Together at Home, which was announced Monday morning by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization (WHO). It is being held in celebration and support of healthcare workers fighting the Covid-19 pandemic.

Curated by Lady Gaga, the two-hour, commercial-free, virtual concert and fundraiser will air live Saturday, April 18 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT in simulcast on CTV, CTV2, TSN, CP24, Much, MTV and in French on VRAK, plus everywhere else CTV content can be found. The global special will also be streamed live on the iHeartRadio Canada app and simulcast on participating iHeartRadio Canada radio stations across the country.

The special will also air in the United States on ABC, NBC, ViacomCBS Networks, iHeart Media, and internationally on BBC One, beIN Media Group, MultiChoice Group and RTE.

The broadcast will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon of The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel of Jimmy Kimmel Live and Stephen Colbert of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The virtual concert will include performances and appearances by Alanis Morissette, Andrea Bocelli, Billie Eilish, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Chris Martin, David Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Elton John, Finneas, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lady Gaga, Lang Lang, Lizzo, Maluma, Paul McCartney, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Shah Rukh Khan and Stevie Wonder.

One World: Together at Home will also be a multi-hour digital broadcast, streaming online on multiple international platforms, including CTV digital platforms, as well as Alibaba, Amazon Prime Video, Apple, Facebook, Instagram, LiveXLive, Tencent, Tencent Music Entertainment Group, TIDAL, TuneIn, Twitch, Twitter, Yahoo and YouTube. This digital special will include additional artists and performances from all over the globe as well as stories from healthcare heroes.

Following its live TV, radio and digital broadcast, One World: Together at Home will be available on demand in English and French on Crave, as well as CTV.ca and the CTV app.
