
MONTREAL — Bell Media’s French-language specialty channel Canal Vie today revealed its fall season of programming, which offers more than 263 hours of new content including seven original productions, 16 new acquisitions and the return of seven popular shows, says a press release.
The new series Escouade poilue (Hairy Squad) features Anne-Caroline Coutu and her zoo of animals, including a miniature horse, which help to spread happiness among people who need it in schools, daycares and long-term care facilities. Also new on Canal Vie this fall, Le jour J (The D-Day) follows host and producer Julie Snyder as she prepares to downsize from a 10,000-sq.-ft., century-old house in Outremont to a 2,500-sq.-ft. condo. The series debuts Wednesday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. ET. A trailer can be seen here.
Couples à boutte (Couples at the End), another new show, will premiere Aug. 25 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Featuring Kim Rusk and Marie-Ève Piché (aka Maman Caféine), the series chronicles the journey of couples through their difficulties being in a romantic relationship or those who have chosen to separate. Shows returning to Canal Vie with new seasons include Tous pour un chalet (season four, premiering Aug. 31 at 9 p.m. ET), La famille est dans le pré (season two, Oct. 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET), and La famille Groulx (season five, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. ET).
