TORONTO – Bell Media sales has added two new vice-presidents and shifted Debbie Drutz (pictured) to the new role of VP of client strategy.
Michael Alexandor, who joined Bell Media earlier this month following the departure of Nathalie Doré, is now VP marketing and innovation where he oversees the marketing strategy for Bell Media Sales, including trade sponsorships and advertising initiatives across Canada. Previously, he was a partner at Temporarily Unpopular Ideas, an ideas architecture and design agency he co-founded in 2011, and prior to that, was head of media, markets, and innovation at Astral Out of Home.
Alyson Walker (pictured) will join the company on January 11 as VP brand partnerships where she will be responsible for driving incremental revenues through innovative media solutions, creating new revenue streams, and building a plan to establish Bell Media as Canada's premium media partner across all platforms. Walker arrives from Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment where she was VP content, and prior to that, held the role of executive director, marketing and commercial partnerships for the Canadian Olympic Committee.
Formerly VP of Bell Media’s The Mix, Drutz’s new role of VP client strategy will see her focus on long-term business opportunities for prioritized clients. The client strategy team will support five specific categories: automotive, consumer packaged goods, retail, food and drink, and finance.
"Alyson and Michael both have exceptional track records, are well-respected, and much sought-after in the industry," said VP strategic sales Mark Finney, in Friday’s announcement. "We are constantly pursuing thought-leaders in the industry and both of these appointments reflect that commitment. I am looking forward to seeing the creativity, innovation, and inspiration they will bring to their new roles.
"Debbie and her team are being re-tasked to focus on helping our clients' achieve their long-term business goals", Finney continued. "These changes are the result of extensive analysis and aim to provide the optimum structure for delivering the best results and service in the industry."
