Bell Media debuting sponsored-content show about local GTA businesses


TORONTO — This Saturday, Bell Media’s CTV Toronto and CP24 channels will premiere a new half-hour weekly series shining a spotlight on local GTA businesses called Things to Know T.O.

With all content sponsored, the series is produced in association with Bell Media Sales, and will debut November 21 at 6:30 a.m. ET on CP24, at 9 a.m. ET on CTV2 Toronto and 10 a.m. ET on CTV in Toronto.

Hosted by CTV Toronto’s Lyndsay Morrison, the 30-minute talk series will profile local businesses across a variety of sectors including health, wellness, home improvement, culinary, special events, real estate, law, insurance and local services. Companies to be featured include Oliver Jewellery, Sokoloff Lawyers, Kidde Alarms, Bromwich and Smith, Auger Hollingsworth and Paramount Fine Foods.

“I look forward to hosting a series that highlights the incredible local businesses that keep our economy moving,” said Morrison, in Bell Media’s press release announcing the new show. “The pandemic has presented so many challenges, especially for local businesses, and I am so thrilled to share these inspiring stories of perseverance from entrepreneurs right here in our community.”

“At such a critical time for our brand partners in local businesses, Things to Know T.O. provides audiences with a first-hand look at companies operating in the Toronto market,” said Paul Macerollo, senior sales manager, CTV Toronto local sales. “With Lyndsay Morrison’s infectious energy, we look forward to highlighting the many different sectors with profiles of companies doing business in the GTA.”

Morrison is currently a weather and community specialist for CTV Toronto, and before joining the channel she worked as a weather specialist at CTV Kitchener for seven years.

The show’s official website will launch November 21.
