Bell Media and Tom Green to co-develop original Canadian content for Crave and CTV

Bell Media last week announced a co-development agreement with Canadian comedian and filmmaker Tom Green’s production company, Tom Green Productions Canada Inc., to create original content for Crave and CTV.

The agreement covers both scripted and unscripted projects, “reflecting Bell Media’s commitment to making great original content and collaborating with some of the industry’s biggest names,” reads a Bell Media press release.

Rory Rosegarten, Green’s manager, will serve as executive producer on all projects. Specific project details will be announced at a later date, Bell Media said.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be working with Bell Media to develop some of my ideas,” Green said in a statement. “It’s great to be back living in Canada and working with one of the world’s premiere media companies.”

“Over the course of his legendary career, Tom has been a creative and comic visionary who has consistently seen around the corner to be ahead of his time,” Stewart Johnston, senior vice president of content and sales at Bell Media, said in the press release. “We look forward to embarking on this new journey together as we develop dynamic projects and expand Bell Media’s mandate of making great original content that resonates at home, and abroad.”

The new co-development agreement expands on Green’s long-standing relationship with Bell Media, which has included The Tom Green Show and Tom Green’s House Tonight, and more recently a co-starring role in the Crave original comedy The Trades, which was the number one Canadian series on Crave in 2024, according to mParticle viewership data cited by Bell Media.

This also adds to the list of co-development deals Bell Media has announced previously with companies such as Seth Rogen’s Point Grey PicturesLionsgate and, most recently, Elliot Page’s PageBoy  Productions.
