TORONTO – Bell Canada and Alison Green, vice-president programming, video group, parted ways on Friday August 5th, www.cartt.ca has learned.
“It was a decision that was made with mutual consent,” a company spokesperson told www.cartt.ca today. No other details were given.
Green only joined Bell in December 2004 and was responsible for the acquisition and delivery of all Bell ExpressVu programming and pay-per-view services, as well as its VDSL service for MDUs. She was also the first point of contact for programmers wishing to sign on for Bell’s IPTV rollout in 2006 across Southern Ontario and Quebec.
At this time, the company hasn’t yet announced a replacement but “we expect to do so shortly,” said the spokesperson.
Green came to Bell as an interactive TV veteran, having worked in the U.S. and around the world, most recently for (now defunct) iTV company Gist Communications where she was vice-president business development.
This is the second departure within three months from the company’s video group as former director of network programming, Cary Rubin, left in mid-May to go to CanWest Global.
