Bell launches 5G+ service in Manitoba

WINNIPEG – Bell announced Tuesday that its fastest version of 5G is available in Manitoba.

The “5G+” service, which Bell said is capable of up-to 3 Gbps download speeds, is available Winnipeg, East St. Paul, Headingley, and St. Andrews. The service, which is reliant on the 3.5 GHz spectrum band, is now available to 40 per cent of the Canadian population, including in Ontario, Atlantic and western Canada, Bell said in a press release.

“With 5G+, we are paving the way for the future of connectivity, empowering businesses, enhancing consumer experiences and unlocking new possibilities,” Paul Norris, vice president of consumer sales and vice chair of Bell MTS and western Canada said in the release.

“This milestone, coupled with our ongoing broadband investments in the region, represents our commitment to innovation and delivering world-class network and communication services to our valued customers in Manitoba,” Norris added.

Customers will need a compatible device and rate plan.
