Bell announced Thursday that it has created and is now selling a new smartphone called Ahlo that caters to “value-conscious” users.
The device is available for $270 outright or, for a limited time, for $1 per month for 24 months with eligible two-year plans, at the end of which the device is paid off.
The phone is 5G+ compatible and runs on the Android operating system, has a 6.58” FHD+ display at 2408×1080 resolution, a 50MP quad camera, 5000 mAh battery, fingerprint scanner, and has a 24-month warranty.
Bell tells us it was designed in Canada, manufactured to the telco’s specifications using industry-leading global partners, and is comparable to a low-to-mid tier Android device.
The phone is available through Bell, Virgin Plus, and participating retailers including Best Buy Express, Staples, Visions Electronics, The Mobile Shop, Wireless Kiosk at Costco, Tbooth wireless, and Wireless Wave.
