Bell hits Gigabit LTE speeds; enhanced network to roll out this year with GB-capable devices

MONTREAL - Bell said Friday that it has become the first wireless provider in Canada to achieve Gigabit LTE speeds, hitting the milestone during recent deployment testing conducted in Mississauga.To boost LTE-A speeds to the Gigabit level, Bell uses a combination of carrier aggregation and 4X4 MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology to increase spectrum efficiency and multiply capacity.
