TORONTO – Bell Canada customers can now review, browse, download and share music thanks to a partnership announced today with Groove Mobile.
The new music download service will allow users to simultaneously download songs to both mobile phones and PCs, transfer songs from their PC back to their phone and share music with others by sending a 30-second preview of the song.
"The mobile phone will become the digital music player of choice for many music lovers. The rapidly growing popularity of digital music is quickly transforming how people buy, listen and share music," said Chris Shannon, general manager, hardware, logistics and supply, Bell Canada. "Groove Mobile allows Bell consumers that want the coolest music on their mobile phone the ability to browse the library, download songs and build favourite playlists instantly."
Groove Mobile’s so-called dual download capability allows consumers to make up to seven copies of a song and export them to a mobile phone or device as well as three unique computers. Additional features include, the ability to transfer songs from a computer to a mobile phone, enjoy album art while listening to a track and search music by artist and/or song title. The "music store" feature also includes new releases, what’s hot, breakthrough artists, and special featured charts updated weekly.
Following today’s expansion with Bell, Groove Mobile is now operating mobile music platforms in the United States, UK, Europe and Asia with access to over 77 million wireless subscribers around the globe.
