By Ahmad Hathout MONTREAL – Bell has filed this week a trademark in Canada on its distinctive shade of blue. The Pantone 301 class of blue is evident throughout the company’s makeup, including in the letters that spell out the name of the company. “The trademark consists exclusively of the colour blue (PANTONE*301) without delineated contours,” Bell said in its submission on Monday. The telecom has fought its share of trademark issues. In 2020, it filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Oakville-based telecom SkyChoice over that company’s use of “WiFibe,” which Bell alleged infringes on its “Fibe” product.
