MONTREAL — Bell Canada announced today the launch of four of AMC Networks’ subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services — Acorn TV, IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder and Sundance Now — on Bell Fibe TV.
Bell’s customers in Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces can now subscribe to these streaming services through Bell Fibe TV or the Fibe TV app.
Acorn TV specializes in premium British and international television, including mysteries, dramas and comedies. IFC Films Unlimited offers theatrically released and award-winning titles from IFC Films and IFC Midnight, which include indie films, horror, sci-fi, thrillers and action movies.
Shudder’s content focuses on the horror, thriller and supernatural genres. Sundance Now offers cross-genre programming including dramas, romance, fantasy, mysteries, true crime and thrillers.
“Our customers want the most compelling content and we’re pleased to work with AMC Networks to provide these four new services on Bell Fibe TV and the Bell Fibe TV app. With this launch, we are proud to offer an even greater range of content options to our customers,” said Payal Gabrani-Bahl, senior vice-president of household marketing at Bell, in a press release.
“Our targeted approach to streaming allows viewers to choose the service or services that matter most to them, based on the content they love and can’t get enough of, whether it’s horror, British drama and mystery or independent film,” said Josh Reader, president of distribution and development at AMC Networks.
“We are thrilled that Bell is launching four of our fast-growing services on Fibe TV, meaningfully expanding the distribution of our services in Canada.”
