Bell Canada lands $670 million contract extension with Desjardins Group

MONTREAL – Bell Canada and Desjardins Group have renewed their service agreement to provide telecommunications services for eight years, for a total of approximately $670 million. Bell will provide the Montreal-based financial group with communications, payment, and call centre services until Dec. 31, 2014. The two firms have been working together since 2001. in that time, Bell has deployed Internet protocol technology to converge voice, data, and image services on a single infrastructure for some aspects of Desjardins’ operations.
