Bell Aliant shops FTTH to NB businesses

FREDERICTON – Small and medium-sized businesses in New Brunswick were introduced to Bell Aliant’s FibreOP network Wednesday, as the company continued the rollout of its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) technology.

The 100% fibre-optic network offers Internet speeds of 20 Mbps download with 5 Mbps upload, which the company said wil allow for improved productivity and a greater ability for businesses to compete in the future.

"We’re pleased to be able to help businesses improve their productivity," said Kelly Duplisea, VP of customer solutions, in the announcement. "Offering new services like FibreOP for Business provide the foundation for business growth and also help attract and retain new and existing talent in the future – a key ingredient for business success."

FibreOP services for both residential and business customers are now available in Fredericton and Saint John, and are coming soon to other areas in the province.
