Bell Aliant, CEP Atlantic reach tentative agreement

HALIFAX - Bell Aliant has reached a tentative agreement with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Atlantic Communications Council (CEPACC), representing close to 3,000 Bell Aliant unionized employees in Atlantic Canada.If ratified, the new collective agreement will replace the current agreement, which was originally set to expire on December 31, 2011, and will remain in effect until December 31, 2014.CEPACC will undertake the ratification process from May 3 through June 11, 2010. Details on the terms of the agreement will not be discussed publicly while the ratification process is ongoing, the company said in a statement.www.bellaliant.ca
