CHICOUTIMI, QC – Bell Aliant said it is investing approximately $70 million to bring its fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network to 125,000 premises in seven Quebec communities.The company said that its FibreOp network will be available in Alma, Saguenay (including Chicoutimi, Jonquière and La Baie), Saint-Félicien, Thetford Mines and Victoriaville this fall, and that additional communities, including Rivière-du-Loup and Roberval, will be added by year-end.The launch builds on the success of its FibreOp rollout in Atlantic Canada and Ontario as well as Bell's major rollout of FTTH technology across the Quebec City region, Bell Aliant said, adding that fibre-to-the-home technology is instrumental...
