Bell Aliant adds almost 30,000 new FibreOP customers in Q2

HALIFAX – Bell Aliant’s FibreOP TV and internet service added almost 30,000 net new customers in the second quarter of 2013, helping to increase operating revenues by $4 million. The regional telco reported revenues of $692 million, an increase of 0.6% million compared to the same period in 2012.  Revenues for Bell Alliant’s IPTV, Internet, and wireless business segments each grew by $12 million, $9 million, and $1 million, respectively.  The growth in TV, Internet, other data, wireless, and other revenues was, however, offset by declines in local and long distance revenues.
