MONTREAL – Bell wasted no time in consummating its marriage to CTV, adding some of the broadcaster’s top-rated programming to its Bell TV on-line portal and mobile TV service on Monday.
Bell said that its TV customers can now catch prime time favourites such as The Big Bang Theory, Castle, The Mentalist, Grey’s Anatomy and Criminal Minds anywhere in Canada that they have a high-speed Internet connection.
"With Bell TV Online, fans have newly expanded access to CTV’s top television lineup anytime and anywhere they have broadband Internet access," said Wade Oosterman, president of Bell residential services, Bell mobility, and chief brand officer, in the announcement. "This latest Bell TV Online enhancement is another step in Bell’s strategy to deliver the best content across multiple screens – computers, TVs, smart phones and tablets."
Bell’s mobile TV content, available to its Bell and Virgin smart phone customers, now includes live and on-demand content from CTV stations TSN, TSN2, RDS, CTV News Channel, MTV and The Comedy Network, as well as packages such as:
– Bell Mobile TV Sports: includes live events from TSN, TSN2 and RDS; NHL games and NHL Centre Ice; NFL games, NFL Red Zone and NFL Network content; and Vancouver Whitecaps soccer games for $5 per month for 10 hours, including data charges;
– Bell Mobile TV Variety: includes live content from CTV News Channel, BNN – Business News Network, MTV and RDI; plus on-demand content from The Comedy Network; CBC News Network; Tou.tv; Treehouse; YTV, and bpm.tv for $5 per month for 10 hours, including data charges;
– Bell Tablet TV: specifically designed for tablet users, content includes TSN, RDS, CTV News Channel, BNN, CBC News Network / RDI, Tou.tv, Comedy Time, Bite TV, Aux tv, bpm.tv and NDTV for $10 per month for 10 hours, including data charges;
– Bell Mobile HBO: includes full-length on-demand content from HBO for $5 a month for 10 hours, including data charges.
