Beanfield partners with Cisco for all-in-one virtual collaboration tool

TORONTO — Beanfield Metroconnect announced today it has partnered with Cisco to launch Hosted Voice with Webex, a new cloud-based all-in-one collaboration experience, which the company says is designed to simplify workloads and keep teams securely connected.

The new collaboration tool seamlessly delivers Beanfield’s BroadWorks calling solution with the advanced messaging and meeting capabilities of Cisco’s Webex platform, all within a single app, according to Beanfield’s press release.

“With fully integrated Webex technology, Hosted Voice users will experience a modern, all-in-one collaboration tool that delivers simple, flexible, communications, making their businesses more productive and more secure, with any device from anywhere,” says Tony Lopresti, director of product management for Cisco’s Webex, in the press release.

Small- and medium-sized businesses in Toronto and Montreal can choose from flexible packages that range from basic softphone to premium meetings, allowing for up to 1,000 participants in a single meeting, says the release.

“The possibilities are endless with HD video, voice, messaging, file sharing, screen sharing, and conferencing in one easy-to-use and secure application that can integrate with the other tools you use to simplify your life,” reads the press release, which mentions integrations are available for third-party applications from Google, Salesforce and Microsoft.

Some of the other benefits of using Beanfield’s Hosted Voice with Webex include simple migration to Beanfield, the ability to keep your number and the fact that it is delivered to the customer’s premises over dedicated fibre facilities at no extra cost, which Beanfield says is something no other VoIP can offer.
