TORONTO – The multitude of condominium residents in Toronto's downtown core now have a new option for television services.

Toronto-based telco Beanfield Metroconnect has launched beanfield TV, in addition to the Internet and phone service that it already offers condo dwellers.  The company said that its new streamlined TV service features premium HD content, functionality that supports on-demand content, and soon-to-be launched video and music streaming apps.

Beanfield TV is delivered over the company's private fibre-optic network and starts at $40 per month.  Beanfield also launched a 500 Mbps Internet package earlier this year that it claims is the first available service of its kind in the city.

"We've built a simple yet solid, future-friendly TV service to meet the wants of users today as well as tomorrow", said Beanfield CEO, Dan Armstrong, in the news release. "Our Internet customers demanded TV, and now they have it."

Founded in 1988, Beanfield is a Canadian owned and privately held company that owns, builds and operates the largest private fibre-optic network in Toronto.  It provides a range of communications services to more than 400 commercial and residential buildings, including Internet, phone, TV, colocation, private point-to-point circuits and broadcast services.
