Beanfield appoints Winnie Leung as CFO


Independent telecom Beanfield announced Monday it has hired Winnie Leung as its new chief financial officer.

Leung has more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership, most recently as the CFO of Moneris, a position she held for 13 years. While at Moneris, “she introduced transformative processes, technologies and talent strategies to propel the organization forward,” founding the company’s Inclusive Workplace Council and serving as the executive sponsor of the Womxn@Moneris Employee Inclusion Group, a Beanfield press release said.

Prior to Moneris, Leung was a partner at KPMG for 18 years, according to her LinkedIn profile. She is currently the vice chair of the Financial Executives International Canada (FEI Canada) board and is a mentor with its MentorAdvantage program.

In her new role at Beanfield, Leung will lead the finance team and aid with the company’s strategic management, according to the company’s press release.

Beanfield operates as a local, facilities-based telecom in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa, with almost 500 employees.
