BBTV subsidiary YoBoHo signs deal with Sony Music subsidiary The Orchard


VANCOUVER — BBTV Holdings announced today its subsidiary YoBoHo New Media Private Limited, which has been creating digital-first kids content since 2010, has entered into a deal with global distributor The Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment.

“Under this new deal, The Orchard will further expand distribution and monetization for YoBoHo’s popular library of kids songs, including HooplaKidz and other IP,” reads a press release.

In addition to HooplaKidz, YoBoHo’s collection of kids and family content includes KidsCamp, Teehee Town, All Babies Channel, Annie & Ben, Yayo Y Lula, and a music library of more than 3,000 songs across several languages including English, French, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, German, Bahasa, Vietnamese, Italian, Russian and Thai, according to the press release.

“By partnering with The Orchard, our kids songs will not only reach more families, but gain more opportunity for monetization through their expansive distribution network,” said Hitendra Merchant, founder and CEO of YoBoHo, in the release.

“The HooplaKidz library of kids songs is a great addition to our diverse portfolio, and we’re looking forward to driving further success for the IP across multiple platforms,” added Mathew Reiffe, senior vice-president of global business and partner development for The Orchard.
