BBTV signs major U.S. news network and cable channel


VANCOUVER — Media technology company BBTV Holdings announced today it has expanded its content management business and signed a deal with a top three major U.S. news network and cable channel, without naming which one.

BBTV provides distribution and monetization solutions to help content creators become more successful.

“Digital has really leveled the playing field when it comes to reaching and engaging digital audiences, as well as monetizing content,” said Lewis Ball, vice-president of strategy for Vancouver-based BBTV, in a press release.

“This latest major signing showcases the strength of our content management offering and demonstrates the value that we bring to creators of all sizes. By working with BBTV, enterprise and independent content creators can equally benefit from a greater understanding of their digital fan base, while also benefiting from new revenue streams.”

Content management is a growing component of BBTV’s Plus Solutions business and represents one of the company’s highest growth trajectories and gross margins, according to the press release.

“BBTV’s content management solutions combine industry-leading expertise with powerful proprietary technology, and enables creators to have full control of their intellectual property and brand at scale in the digital space, while also maximizing their revenue potential,” reads the release.

Some of the enterprise media clients that use BBTV’s content management solutions include the National Basketball Association, Sony Pictures and the Canada Media Fund (CMF).
