Banff World Media Festival adds four HBO Master Class sessions

BANFF – With less than two weeks until the 37th annual Banff World Media Festival opens its doors, organizers have announced four ‘HBO Super-Sessions’ featuring some of the biggest names in the global entertainment programming and creative community.

The newly added Master Class sessions are:

Comedy Masterclass, focused on the hit series Girls and featuring HBO's president of programming Casey Bloys and Girls executive producer Jenni Konner;

HBO Films Masterclass, featuring Emmy Award-winning director, writer and producer Jay Roach (All The Way, Game Change, Recount) and HBO Films president Len Amato;

HBO International Global Heads, featuring Roberto Rios, corporate VP, original production, HBO Latin America and Antony Root, EVP original programming and production, HBO Europe;

Limited Series Masterclass, featuring Academy Award-winning producer, writer and director Steve Zaillian (Schindler's List, Awakenings, Moneyball) and Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries & Cinemax Programming.

HBO is headlining the event as part of Banff’s Company of Distinction Program.  Chairman and CEO Richard Plepler will give the Company of Distinction keynote on June 14 and be interviewed by CTV's Etalk host Ben Mulroney.

The Banff World Media Festival will take place June 12-15, 2016 at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, AB.
