TORONTO – Women in Film and Television – Toronto is calling for applications for its fourth annual WIFT-T BANFF Mentorship Award, in association with the Banff World Television Festival.
The competition is open to men and women producers who are an Aboriginal or member of a visible minority. The winner will get a three-month mentorship and festival bursary, which will include one-on-one coaching with top industry executives on how to pitch a project, free registration to the festival, and a $500 voucher for airfare.
“We are very excited to again be offering this unique program to help develop a promising producer. The marketing skills acquired through the mentorship are essential to becoming a top-notch media entrepreneur,” said Sue Sheridan, Acting Managing Director of WIFT-T. “We look forward to another successful year with the Banff World Television Festival.”
