babyTEL will help Ontario government cut paper use

MONTREAL – babyTEL has been awarded a contract by the Ontario government to supply one of the largest enterprise-wide e-digital fax service in Canada.

The company’s VoIP, FoIP and e-digital fax services help to migrate communications over to the Internet and away from traditional analog fax lines by automatically converting in-bound faxes to email attachments and allowing faxes to be sent directly from a computer. The Government of Ontario has pledged to reduce paper consumption by 50% by 2012.

"We are very pleased with the e-digital fax service award by the Ontario Government," said CEO Stephen Dorsey in the announcement. "It’s a case where a long term initiative, the Ontario Government’s Green Transformation, can be implemented in a short time period and return immediate cost savings. This program should serve as a model for other governments and large corporations."
