MONTREAL – babyTEL says that it has created the country's first VoIP 'triple play' over the Internet.

The Montreal-based Internet telephony service provider (ITSP) said Monday that it is offering a real-time, Standards-based complete solution for migrating traditional telephone traffic to the Internet. With the VoIP 'Triple Play', enterprise of all sizes can migrate all of their traditional real-time analog telephony/fax/modem traffic to the Internet, offering significant cost, maintenance, management and infrastructure savings.  Telephone systems, fax machines, multi-function devices and modem-based devices (i.e. point of sale or alarm) may all be consolidated onto one network connecting to the Internet via wireless, fixed line or satellite.

"We are very pleased to announce this offering," said CEO Stephen Dorsey, in the news release.  "Businesses of all sizes can migrate all of their traditional telephone traffic onto their Internet connection.  Whether it's a fax call, a voice call or even a POS device for credit cards, babyTEL can connect them so that the Internet is now the transmission network."
