MONTREAL – Canadian VOIP provider Babytel today announced a new service intended to make it easier for small and mid-sized businesses to make the transition to the new voice technology.
"There is demand for all business – whether small, medium or big – to be more productive, more cost effective," said Stephen Dorsey, Babytel president and CEO. "Unfortunately, too often small and mid-sized firms get the short straw when it comes to benefits from new technologies."
Babytel Enterprise is aimed at firms with between two and 300 employees, multiple offices and a flexible workforce that works remotely from home, hotels, airports and other locations.
VOIP can impact all enterprises by lowering costs, simplifying management and adding new functionalities.
A Babytel Enterprise phone line can be up to 60% less expensive than a regular business line from an incumbent telco, says the company, depending on calling patterns and call features.
It is priced at $39.95 (no charge calling to most major Canadian cities) and a flat $49.95 (no charge calling across North America) per line per month.
